Here are 4 proposals for targeted outings less than 30 minutes away by car to get an overview of the Costa Del Sol (must see). I had also some extras, some places very wonderful.
Málaga city center is exactly 25 minutes from the studio. But don't get me wrong, Málaga is very big and there are activities everywhere within 30 minutes. You can go there several times during your stay to enjoy all that Málaga has to offer. This town has more then 600000 citizens. This is the second biggest city in Andalousia (after Sevilla).
If you want to go there for only 1 day, here is the itinerary that we suggest:
Parking lot, Castillo de Gibralfaro, 29016 Málaga
Parking, Pl. Jesús el Rico, 3, 29012 Málaga
By the way, the castle is free on Sundays.
If you don’t want to walk too much but still want to see as many tourist sites as possible within a day, you should opt for the hop-on hop-off bus:
During your booking you can also choose the Málaga Experience Card” option: it includes the bus ticket, but also free entrance to most museums in the city, a 1 hour boat tour and a ticket to see a flamenco show.
For 2 days in Málaga, add the following activities to the 1 day itinerary above:

Marbella is a city and a seaside resort in southern Spain, on the Costa del Sol, in the Andalusian region. The Sierra Blanca mountains serve as a backdrop to 27 km of sandy Mediterranean beaches, villas, hotels and golf courses. To the west of the city of Marbella, nightclubs and prestigious coastal properties follow one another for more than a kilometer to the marina of Puerto Banús, surrounded by shops and select bars, where the luxury yachts line up.
Puerto Banús is sometime considered as the "Monte Carlo" of Spain.
Walk the "Golden mile" and admire the marina with luxuous boats.
